Working with us
Each project follows the same basic steps.

Upload photos, basic measurements, and a brief description of the work you want done by clicking here to get a quote. We will typically get back to you within one business day.

Before starting a project we’ll want to have all the details ready to go. Fabrics and trims can be selected at our shop or you can bring us selections you find.

We are typically 6 weeks out on a project. As soon as you pay the deposit on your project we’ll get your project into our queue. On any recover work we ask that the furniture not be brought in until it’s time to work on it.

When it’s time to work on your project we will reach out to have the items brought in. For a fee, Markell’s can pick and deliver. Once we have an item we typically only have it in our shop for 1-2 weeks.

When we are done working on your project we’ll ask for final payment.

About
Founders Mike and Kellie Johnson opened Markell’s Upholstery and Furniture in 1982. Since then, Markell’s has become Utah’s premier upholstery businesses and for having supplied quality furniture and upholstery services to clients across the country. In 2023, the next chapter of Markell’s began when ownership passed to Johnny Duncan.
